Community appreciation served up hot

You expect a car dealership to have a parts, service, sales and finance department. But you don’t expect them to have a dedicated grill meister, a wood-burning grill on wheels and head honchos with their own aprons and a knack for serving (in every sense of the word).

Lake Charles Toyota is different because its leadership is different. In a world where “connectivity” is synonymous with wireless technology, the Tarver family focus on connecting with each other, employees and with the Southwest Louisiana community, one-on-one and face-to-face.

Sam Houston High School Soccer

587 × 226
Coach Trey Jones has been tasked with rebuilding the soccer program at Sam Houston High School and he reached out to us for help. It turns out, he and his team are pretty good salesmen! Then we made 10 gallons of Shawn's signature baked beans. At the end of the day, the SHHS soccer team made $4000. More than that, they learned…

Education depends on small business

587 × 226

Every small business in our community is a vital key in meeting the needs of the schools.  Small amounts add up to make significant impact.  It may not be as eye catching as some of the big companies or individuals, but the masses are very important to the fulfilling of the needs. Back to School Calcasieu

587 × 226

It is the first day of another school year and we are so proud of the great work that our educators do.  They have a monumental impact on our society with their daily nurturing of the minds of the future.  I am deeply impacted myself every day by the influences of the educators encountered over the years- names like Cates, Russell, Watson, Allen, Bourque, Parkerson, and many others that molded and impressed on my mind the technical matters of reading/writing/arithmetic, but also the love and caring about me as a single individual with promise and potential.

More than a dealership

We at Lake Charles Toyota just finished our 2nd year as title sponsor of the Lake Charles Toyota City Golf Championship at Mallard Cove.  This is a typical event for us and we are happy to be able to sponsor these types of activities in our community and get some exposure for them as well.  Among them this year are also Class Act Award teacher recognition, pledge of allegiance on KPLC, Downtown at Sundown, Red White Blue and You July 4th celebration, Tour Lafitte, Sax in the City, Gator Grand Prix, Grillin and Chillin, and 1st Fridays…

More than a dealership

We are very proud of our community efforts and we make it our plan to provide SWLA with more than just a “car dealer.”  Part of our mission is to provide a family environment and these community events help us to fulfill that mission.  Watch for future events that we will be providing, including sponsorship of the Lake Charles Toyota City Golf Championship at Mallard Cove Golf Course June 22-24.

World Champions

This weekend as we host the Houston Astros World Series Trophy on display at Lake Charles Toyota.  It will be at our dealership on Gerstner Memorial this Sunday, June 10 from 12N to 4PM.  The public is invited, and we have lots of fun activities planned, including hot dogs/popcorn/cracker jacks.  You are welcome to come spend a fun summer afternoon with us and staff from the Astros organization.

This is just a small way we live up to our challenge to “raise your expectations” of what a local business should be doing in and for its community.
